From May 9 & 10, 1999:
*yawn* More old pics...shortly before my 28th birthday.
From May 27, 1997:
Taken by my good friend, Bob, when I was still cultivating a head of
hair instead of shaving it off.
Except where otherwise noted, all pics were taken by me with my
quickcam. I should probably apologize now for the somewhat pose-y
nature of some of them. Some were taken to document a specific thing,
such as a then-recent beard-trimming. That's my story, anyway, and I'm
sticking to it.
So, anyway...uh, more about me. I'm really into music. I tend to like
stuff that's a little on the unusual side; I'm not going to use the
dreaded "alternative" tag, since it's so tired and completely
pointless now, but I can't deal with generic terms like "rock" and
"electronic", either. Some of my favorites are Brian Eno, Burning
Airlines, Radiohead, the Dismemberment Plan, Ivy, Low, Versus, Seely,
Chris Whitley, Stereolab, the Magnetic Fields, Shiner, To Rococo Rot,
Komeda, the Faint, Bjork, Portishead, Meat Beat Manifesto, Lilys,
the Dandy Warhols, Macha, the Aluminum Group, Laika, Superchunk,
Boards of Canada, Swervedriver, Beulah, Pernice Brothers, Sloan,
Laurie Anderson, Guided By Voices, XTC, the Czars, Sam Phillips,
Autechre, Juno, the Posies, Cowboy Junkies, Richard Buckner, Mouse on
Mars, Rival Schools...and countless others I should probably mention
but am forgetting at the moment (and that's not even counting bands
that have broken up). I have, at times, sung and/or played keyboards,
guitar, bass, drums, and other crap in a few bands. Despite years of
mandatory music lessons as a child, I don't play any instrument
particularly well, but hey, that's what effects are for, right?
I've recently gotten back into collecting comics after having gotten
that monkey off my back for about 14 years. Currently, my favorite
titles are JSA, Titans, The Authority, JLA, Birds of Prey, Green
Lantern, and Avengers.
I love eating - who doesn't? If only I could afford it, I'd eat sushi
every day...*sigh* But I also love pizza (pretty much ANY pizza),
Thai, Chinese, Mediterranean, and Indian. My real weaknesses are
pastries and cakes (and all points in between...mmmmm, donuts) and
dark chocolate. And Oreos. I don't consume alcohol all that often, but
when I do, it's usually beer, and something lame like Bud Light. My
favorite drinks are black & tans and cosmopolitans...and I'm a big fan
of Jagermeister (which does NOT taste like black licorice,
thankyewverymuch - it tastes like Dramamine, which is way worse). And
there are other intoxicating substances that I enjoy from time to
time, as well...(nothing too hardcore, though).
I don't watch much TV, but when I do, it's usually cartoons. "The
Simpsons" is the most brilliant show EVER, but I also dig "The Family
Guy", "King of the Hill", "The Critic", and "The Tick". HBO's "Sex and
the City" and "The Sopranos" are my current favorite non-cartoon TV
shows, and game shows such as "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" are a
guilty pleasure. (A VERY guilty pleasure.) After never owning a VCR, I
now own a computer with DVD-playing capabilities (I'm so fucking hip),
so I've been catching up on movies. "Slacker", "Fight Club", "Velvet
Goldmine", "Clerks", "Raising Arizona", "Bound", "Taxi Driver",
"The Usual Suspects", "Heat", "12 Monkeys", "Airplane", "The Insider",
and "9 to 5" are among my favorites.
And, of course, I like guys...of all ages, colors, shapes and sizes. I
don't have a certain type that I go for, so if you've seen anything
here that's piqued your interest, hit me up. And I'll be happy to
carry on an intelligent conversation with just about anyone.

P.S. Yes, I used the old Courier font on purpose. What can I say? I
like it.
